my blog died. . .

to tell you the truth, i actually kind of forgot that I had started a blog. i guess things got really busy around the time i posted last. we had a little growing boy that was becoming more mobile, a wedding to plan, o- and i was losing my mind. I'd like to say that things have slowed down for our little family, but that would be a lie. i guess i have acclimated to life at warp speed, i've definitely picked up the pace. Its been about a year and a half since i last posted. SInce then we have had a lot of life changes!! We got married. . . and celebrated our first anniversay. Cash started crawling, then walking, then runnning, and now he is climbing on tables and getting in his high-chair on his own. Cash has also started chatting us up quite a bit. He loves to stand in his room and yell "MOMMY!" in order to let me know that he is up and ready for my day. One day this week he did this at 5 am, so mommy was a little reluctant to go in there because let's face it- Mommy was not very awake at 5 am. THankfully this was a rare occurence,he normally sleeps until 7-8am. WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! man that was a stressful situation, we put an offer on our house ~Feb 2nd and didn't get an answer back until june! we ended up getting a great house for a pretty decent price, and there is plenty of room to grow. Getting into this house has really taught us a lot. we have tiled, painted, sanded, textured, and drilled every surface in our house, but most importantly we CLEANED. This house was so nasty, the smell, the carpets, there was puke down the walls, animal feces everywhere. Trust me, we are die hards. Clint got a great job at the railroad but then was laid off a couple months later. He is currently working at agrium and making it work until he gets to go back to the railroad. I'm still working at SpineIdaho, but I haven't given up my dream of becoming a midwife. I need to take a deep breath and jump into school full-time, but i've been too scared! I guess it's silly, i'm only getting older. I will make it happen someday because i really think that is what i am meant to do. O- we also added another member to our family -Hefe!! He is a golden retriever mix that we got from the Idaho Falls pound.

Engagements pics and other goings on

With the wedding approaching in a hurry we needed to get our engagement pictures taken in a hurry. Thankfully, our friend Sam Little was nice enough to take our engagement pictures for us! The first day that we tried there was a lightening storm and we had to stop, but we didn't give up! We ended up going back up a couple days later and the weather was absolutely beautiful! We took a couple of pictures in old town, but most of them were taken up in the City Creek area of Pocatello. It is so pretty up there this time of year! This was Sam's first time doing engagement pictures and our first time taking pictures together so it was a lot of fun! Here is a sneak preview, you'll have to wait until i get the disk to see the rest!

With trying to plan a wedding and everything else, we've been really busy! Clint is playing on two softball teams, Cash is smiling and flirting up a storm, and the puppies are being naughty like always. Sadly, we have really been slacking on the P90X. I tried to plyometrics and then played in a softball game without stretching and ended up straining my hamstring, OUCH! Since I haven't been doing it, I haven't been sassing Clint about doing it either. Needless to say, neither of us are feeling the shred. OH WELL! I don't really care about looking like a swimsuit model, i just need to fit in my wedding dress. . . though it would be really nice to have arms like Summer Sanders.

Breakin' A Sweat

We recently took an oath as a family that we were all going to work hard and try to get into shape before the wedding. I obviously had my weight fluctuate with being pregnant, Clint's weight has varied since he's not playing football everyday, and a recent trip to the vet revealed that Kassia needs to lose 1-2 pounds (as a result of Clint and I being busy and forgetting to take her out on walks). I figured that Clint and I would be the only ones holding up our end of the bargain, Kassia doesn't care, Sauza eats anything in site, and Cash doesn't need to lose anything. We were wrong! In the past couple days/ weeks Cash has been working his little butt off! He recently started smiling and has been working extremely hard to makes sounds that are the beginning of words. He will lie on his back and talk to me for hours a day. He works so hard, in fact, that the first couple times it happened I thought that he was struggling to poop. haha. The most exciting thing though is that Cash can now ROLLOVER!! My mom tried to tell me a couple weeks ago that he was rolling over when she was changing him. I chose to ignore this until I saw it with my own eyes (ignorance is bliss). So the other day I laid him on his belly to do some exercises sizes and BAM! he flipped over onto his back from his belly! I was so excited but the most exciting thing was today when Clint witnessed it AND we caught it on film! Soooo exciting. I tried to enclose a video below. . . I am a proud momma!

So now its up to Clint and I to fulfill our end of the agreement since our son is basically showing us up. We were lucky enough to get P90X to try until the wedding. . . for free! We only have ~80 days until the wedding so we will be cutting the program short. We tried to first work-out assigned and man was it intense! my abs are really weak from being stretched out for 9th months, so needless the say, the "Ab Ripper X" literally felt like it was ripping my abs out of my stomach. However much we thought that hurt, the Chest and Back DVD hurt way worse. Girls are not meant to do that many push ups, and who knew there were so many kinds?! The guy that made this workout up is a beast and seems a little insane. Either way, if we keep this workout up I know that we are going to see results! Sadly, I get sore just from running the bases during softball so I am anticipating that I am going to be in pure misery tomorrow. Oh well. One day down- 80ish days to go! We will try to put up before pictures when we get around to it. . . if we make it through the first week alive.

Starting Out

I was sitting here trying to get Cash to sleep and thought that it might be about time to start one of those cheesy family blogs. We don't want to assume that people are overly interested in the going ons of Paige, Clint, and Cash, but if they aren't then at least we will still have this blog for our own selfish purposes. It will be nice to be able to look back on this blog and remember little things about the day that we have forgotten! A bonus is that this is a great way to keep our family and friends in the loop so to speak. We have been guilty of not communicating well with others what is going on in our lives, hopefully this will help eliminate that! I (Paige) will probably be the person updating and blogging, but I intend on having Clint attempt as well. Thank you for checking us out. Please check back soon as our lives are constantly changing!!
